Clay Shortall, Founder/Designer. Clay is a Dallas, TX-based designer with international experience and a portfolio that includes custom residential work as well as high-profile, award-winning civic and cultural buildings. Since returning home to Texas in 2008 after working in London for several years, Clay has blended academics (teaching at the UT School of Architecture for several years) with private projects.

Clay’s experience with civic and cultural buildings includes work with the Pritzker Prize-winning Zaha Hadid Architects on the London 2012 Olympics, and a lead role in the design and construction of an award-winning opera house in Ireland.

Clay’s residential portfolio complements his large-scale projects with contemporary custom homes and additions that are research based, functional, and attuned to their environments.

Clay holds an MArch from Washington University in St. Louis, with honors, where he received the prize for best student in his graduating class. He also holds a B.A. in Fine Arts from Culver-Stockton College.

 

John Shortall, AIA: Founder/Technical Director. John is a highly accomplished technical architect with 40+ years of experience encompassing over a billion dollars in construction costs on completed projects. His experience ranges from single-family custom homes to large mixed-use and retail projects.  John is a registered architect in Texas, #5506.
